New Management Team Members

PCS is pleased to afford a very warm welcome to two new members of the management team:

With Malcolm Venn joining the business as Business Development Manager for the south of England. Malcolm started in the bus industry back in the mid 70’s as a garage trainee with London Transport and has seen many changes during his long career. During this time Malcolm has held many senior management positions with some of the largest and smallest bus operators in the UK. Malcolm has also been involved with many of the manufacturers and suppliers and has a wealth of experience within the bus industry.



Jamie Tolson also joins the PCS management team as Business Support Manager and will along with his two other present colleagues help support specific customers. Jamie joins PCS having worked for Arriva Southern Counties for the past 18 years commencing as an apprentice back in 1999 and attending Tile Hill College. Since the completion of his apprenticeship Jamie has worked as an Engineering Manager in various depots, culminating in the position of Engineering Quality Standards Manager. Jamie brings with him a wealth of key skills putting further weight behind the PCS Management team.

Skilled Transport Engineers and Diagnostic Technicians
PCS is presently seeking highly skilled Engineers and Technicians with either ZF or Cummins experience, having worked in bus industry and being involved particularly with these products.
All applicants should hold suitable automotive qualifications such as NVQ level 3 or equivalent, have also completed a full mechanical apprenticeship and gained at least 4 years post apprenticeship experience, and having attended either ZF product or Cummins training, preferably Euro 6 and experienced in working in the field on these products.
The candidate must hold a full car driving licence, whilst holding a vocational licence would also be an advantage, but not essential. This job will be working mobile carrying out diagnostics, product improvements, campaign and R & R work, using product diagnostic equipment and the incumbent’s specialist skills.

Business Development Manager – South

Paul Clark Services Ltd is the No 1 for Engineering Support to the Transport Industry, providing quality engineers and specialist engineering services to the bus industry for over 20 years.

Following the recent announcement that the present incumbent is leaving the business an opportunity has now arisen for suitably experienced person to join our highly experienced team.  The successful candidate must possess the necessary experience in dealing with CRM, ensuring that our engineering resource is being utilised efficiently, managing projects and campaign work, and developing new business opportunities.  Good communication skills are absolutely key working closely with the management and administration team to ensure a seemless operation.

You must be in possession of an engineering qualification, have worked in the Transport Industry in a similar position and preferably holding a corporate membership of the SOE/IRTE or equivalent body.  This position will involve a certain amount of travel and possible nights away on business, therefore you will need to hold a full driving licence.

Engineering Apprentice – Royal Wootton Bassett

Jack Hickford has recently joined PCS as an Apprentice Engineer working at our workshop facilities in Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire.  Last year Jack spent a weeks work experience with us from school.  Jack will be attending Trowbridge Technical College to complete his three year Advanced Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle course.

PCS continues to be the No 1 provider of Engineering support to the Transport Industry and following successfully becoming a ZF UK Partner, supplying engineering support to Cummins UK and general growth the business is seeking highly skilled transport engineers and Diagnostic Technicians to join the team.
